Mayor's Welcome

Let me be the first to say welcome to our friendly city on the Minnesota prairie! I’m Mayor Pam Cooreman, lifelong Tracy resident and small
business owner here in town. First and foremost I want you to know how grateful I am that you would be interested in our community. Whether you are coming here to visit or considering moving to Tracy, we feel that we combine the best of a small town atmosphere with amenities you would find only in larger cities.

We boast top-notch schools right here in town. Tracy area publicschools is ranked academically by US News in the top 10% of all Minnesota school districts and boasts a host of sports, fine arts, and other student activities. We’re so proud of our parks and recreational areas. The Tracy Aquatics Center has multiple pools, splash pads, and slides for summer fun for the whole family. Visit our fully improved campground at Swift Lake Park with running water, electricity, and an RV waste dump. With over 25 acres of parks there are multiple playgrounds, shelters, and space to enjoy those great Minnesota summers. Tracy hosts numerous events and activities throughout the year. Our annual Box Car Days Celebration takes place over Labor Day weekend and is one of the
biggest events in southwest Minnesota. Taking place every year for the last century, Box Car Days includes a carnival with rides, a beer garden, street dance, and live music as well as other activities. It’s great fun for the whole family.

On behalf of the city council please enjoy your time here and all that Tracy has to offer. We’d like to get to know you and invite you to come along for the ride!
