Community Center Work Group

Following the sale of the Tracy Multi-purpose Senior Center the City Council has investigated numerous options for its replacement. Currently City Council is meeting with a collaborative group that includes the Mayor, all six Councilmembers, and five members of the public. The citizen members of the work group heading up fundraising include Jeanine Vandendriessche, Ken Witt, Karen Krog, Dave Lenertz, and Shirley Anderson. This group's goal is to raise $850,000 for a new community center to be located at 3rd and Morgan street on the old Masonic Building lot. As of March 1, 2023, there is about $480,000 in cash raised with another $130,000 in pledges to the project.
